Downtown Astoria Wedding
Ally and Joe’s wedding at The Ruins at the Astor was such a fun one to photograph. The historic venue was the perfect backdrop, and every detail fit the space so well. Ally looked absolutely beautiful, and the florals, dress, and vintage details all came together perfectly. But what really stood out was these two. They were so sweet together, and you could feel how loved they were by everyone around them.
And their reception? Such a fun night. Their guests knew how to celebrate, and the dance floor turned into quite the party! There was so much laughter, dancing, and energy throughout the night. It was one of those weddings that was beautiful to photograph but also just genuinely fun to be a part of.
A Little About The Ruins
The Ruins at the Astor is one of the most unique wedding venues in Astoria. It sits inside the historic Astor Building, originally the Hotel Astoria, which opened in the 1920s. After decades of decline, the building was restored while keeping so much of its original character, which is what gives The Ruins its incredible vintage, romantic feel.
The two-story space has gorgeous old architecture, massive windows, mosaic tile, Corinthian columns, and a beautiful mezzanine. It’s one of those venues that already feels like a photograph before you even add the flowers and décor.
For couples planning their wedding here, the venue currently lists 2026/2027 starting rates at $1,900 for weekdays and $3,900 for weekends. Mezzanine access for photos is an additional option, and I highly recommend considering it for family + couple portraits.
