Trust me when I say Ecola State Park is one of those insanely magical locations that you just cannot pass up! I grew up just outside of Cannon Beach and spent almost every weekend soaking up all the beautiful nature that this place has to offer. And I will never stop being in awe of its beauty. If you're seeking a whimsical rainforest, a woodsy beach, and a breathtaking view of Cannon Beach, Ecola offers a diverse range of locations that embody the essence of the Pacific Northwest! All these diverse locations are just minutes apart from each other, making it possible to experience all it has to offer within a reasonable time frame. Plus, there's a little added bonus: one of the world's best coffee shops (insomnia) is a quick drive outside the park. So, why not celebrate your union with a warm cup of perfection?
Good news! You can freely exchange vows in Ecola State Park without needing a permit. But if you're thinking of setting up any extras like chairs, tables, or a floral arbor, you'll need to grab a special use permit. You can snag one straight from the park. so, if you're planning on showing up with just your people, officiant and photographer, no permits are needed. the only fee require is a $5 day-use permit.
The park opens at 6:00am and is close at 10:00pm. please be aware that the park can be closed for a month of two during winter due to landsides. It would be a safe idea to check up on the statis of the park before making big plans!

Now lets talk about the forest!! Think whimsical fairy tail meets Twilight. There's an endless amount of towering trees, ferns, mossy grounds, several trails to hike on. Throughout the seasons, the woodland transforms—becoming a radiant canopy with warm lights peeking through or adopting a moody ambiance in fall, winter and even early spring. And if you're lucky fog will settle in the forest giving you your true Twilight vibes
Nestled within Ecola State Park, Indian Beach stands as a testament to the awe-inspiring beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Here, rugged sea cliffs loom overhead, crowned with towering Oregon trees. Staggered waves crash against giant boulders and rock formations, creating a mesmerizing symphony of sound and motion. If you're really feeling adventurous, forested hiking trails lead you back to the lookout, or on the opposite end, lead you to seaside. Indian Beach holds a special place in my heart as one of my top favorite beaches, forever embodying the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest coastline.
